Setter Farm was established in 1872. It included the croft holdings at Aith and Aithness.

There appear to be 3 crofters - Catherine Nelson (nee Smith) Thomas Smith and - John Sinclair, Aithness - who also had the hill grazings at Aith.

These 3 families together with the occupants of the other 6 houses had to leave.

Hoversta Farm was established in 1878/79. It included the holdings of Waterloo and Cowgate.

Two crofts were retained within the farm.

1. Robert Yorston.

2. Magnus Yorston.
